Innocent until proven guilty? Not in America, because here individuals are considered guilty until proven innocent. However, even the truly innocent are considered guilty because Lady Justice is blind.
When it comes to pleas of innocence, her ears remain deaf.
When it comes to the fragrance of lies, deceit, and injustice, she is unable to smell these scents.
When it comes to true justice, she is unable to taste it because she is tasteless, and her touch remains cold and numb as she grips her unbalanced scale.
Lady Justice lacks all five senses—taste, touch, smell, sight, and hearing. She is senseless.
Without senses, it is impossible to function, let alone provide true justice and judgment.
Guilty until proven guilty? Yes, indeed.
The media convicted and sentenced me upon my arrest. The media painted a portrait of me and my entire case, and this portrait was hung in the minds of many individuals around the world. Most people tend to believe everything they hear and/or read, and this is a weakness for many. The media played on this weakness by planting into people's minds the seeds of "menace to society," "monster," and "murderer." Once these seeds were planted, they were provided with water and sunlight until they blossomed and bloomed. Eventually, people in society convicted and sentenced me years before I ever went to trial.
Guilty until proven otherwise? Absolutely, because that is the way the system was designed.
It doesn't matter if you are innocent. You will always be considered guilty.
Even if searches are illegal.
Even if evidence is tampered with, planted, or becomes "lost" without explanation.
Even if witnesses lie and make contradictory statements.
Even if prosecutors engage in blatant courtroom misconduct.
Guilty verdicts are still rendered.
Lady Justice made sure that she removed her blindfold so that she could watch me closely. But once there was mention of tampered evidence, planted evidence, "lost" evidence, illegal searches, false witness statements, recanted witness statements, prosecutorial misconduct, and more, she suddenly became blind again.
Lady Justice listened intently whenever the media and the prosecutor dragged my name through the mud, but every time I proclaimed my innocence, she became deaf again.
Lady Justice was able to smell and taste the prosecutor's victory long before the actual verdict. But when my lawyers mounted a defense on my behalf, the only thing she seemed to smell and taste was my downfall.
Lady Justice seems to lose her touch every day because the scale she holds is becoming more and more unbalanced.
Lady Justice is senseless.
She is Lady Injustice.
Without true justice, there will never be peace.
Without peace, there will never be hope.
And without hope, it becomes difficult for one to adjust in a flawed system that is full of unrest, injustice, and inequality.
